Will 2010 be another 2009?
Happy new year! I know it is kinda of late saying that but this is the first post since 2009. Anyways, welcome to a new decade. Last year, there were many events that made 2009 either memorable to you or a year that you just want to believe never happened. In politics, we had Barack Obama, our first African-American president, take office, the healthcare debate, the undiebomber from Nigeria, and many of you know that we are still in a recession. As many of us Californians know, our state is in debt and even after the end of 2009, we are still billions of dollars in debt. Now, none of us know what will happen to our state;s budget crisis during 2010. We may pay some off or we might just be piling more IOUs up onto the huge pile of one's that still need to be paid off. In the pop culture world, we had many tragedies. The death of Michael Jackson, Brittany Murphy, Patrick Swayze, Billy Mays, Dom DeLuise, Edward Kennedy, Ed McMahon, and many more which can be found on http://www.whosdatedwho.com/celebrities/people/list/celebrity-categories.... We all remember their tragic deaths because we know how hard it is to forget them. Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, is one we all remember but can never forget. I mean, who can forget the famous Thriller dance.Many of us wonder if that this is the year that we are going to pull our troops out of Afghanistan or that this may be the year that Obama might find a solution out of this recession. Many of us know that being the new year, its going to be a clean slate, never knowing what the events lie before us until they happen. But, everyday is a mystery that none of us can solve.
